ITALY is a family-run business with over a 50 year’s experience and knowledge of food and wine. For owner Fiorella Cristofoli, the shop ITALY is her pride, her connection to her heritage and a tribute to her beloved father. In 1930 his father became Holland’s first importer and distributor of Italian food and wine.

Walking into ITALY is like walking into a shop in Italy – not a dank and dusty one, but one that sparkles. Fiorella sells many of the same quality products sold by her father, but continues to source newer and trendier items. Ingredients abound for both the beginner and the advanced, adventuresome cook. Italy stocks pastas, olive oils, cheeses and also bottarga, stracchino, burrata Pugliese, Lenticchie di Castelluccio, Lardo di Colonnata, freshly made sausages and salamis from Friuli, fregola from Sardinia, pastries from Sorrento, Milanese sweet breads at Christmas and Easter, wines from North to South, ceramics from Sicily, mortadella and San Daniele ham (considered by many the finest available in The Hague) and more… Truffles may be ordered in season, arriving from Italy within days.
